Schuler Books (and music)

Friday morning we popped into my old stomping grounds in Okemos. Hoped to catch the General Manager but her daughter was having a graduation party (I remember her as an 11 year old so that was mind twisting) so she was not there. I took some photos anyways.
I would like to say that the Coulter doll is something that she cherishes, but I know that isn't true.

This is Tiffany, the special order mastermind of the store, handling both books and music. She does not like the Grateful Dead and think that Morrissey sweats a lot.

And here we are in the Jazz section, the back wall of the music department. My two babies. Sounds stupid to say that but I used to be so proud of what I did, so proud of the department that put so much of myself into. I stood there with my son, walking around looking at the layout without really looking at the selection. I ended up in the music books section, looking out toward the DVD wall. I watched Debbie walk up from the cafe, cinnamon roll in hand, I got to thinking. About how empty the classical looked (did when I was there too) and all the thoughts and stuff from my time in there. Putting the store together in 2001. Getting hired on June 21st 2000. Meeting Debbie. Tons of memories in there, tons of good memories, tons of music.
Good times.

Oh, if you look cloesly over Jack's head you can see the latest release from Harry Connick Jr.
You know what they say about Harry Connick...

Wikipedia and Google say that Harry Connick Jr is an accomplished musician and actor. What does everyone else say?

Oh, and happy inaugural Father's Day to you, man. Too bad the Finals was a sweep, you could have had an NBA game dedicated to you (along with all the fathers out there) by Marv Albert and Steve Kerr.

I didn't know you started up at Schuellers about 1 month after we'd lived together. Damn, where does time go! I remember setting that store up with you in fall of 2001. I must say, damn!

I've got Inaugural Father's Day gifts for you, so when you coming down again?
